Reshooting

After putting on all our footage on to the computer, we edited most of the verses and one chorus. However, we found we had way too much footage for the first verse and the song wasn't long enough for it all to fit in. It would also make the video go out of sync with the song. Therefore we decided it was best to reshoot some footage, for example, we didn't have enough of our main artist miming the song and after analysing Lady GaGa's videos, we decided it was something essential we needed to do to make our video look more professional. We also found we didn't have enough footage to go in the chorus' and we didn't want to re-use our old footage as we thought our audience would get bored. We took one day after school and wrote a list of what we needed. We went to the pub to film some footage of the boy buying the girl 'drinks in bars'. Also we decided we needed more footage of the couple together, laughing and joking around in the car. We did this outside the pub in the car park and shot it from inside and outside of the car. Moreover, the chorus repeats itself about 10 times towards the end and this is where we were a bit stuck for ideas, however, one day at school we saw that there was at least 10 boys in our common room, so we decided to shoot each one, just against a plain background and to put it in every time the chorus said 'Boys'. We thought this would be a really good idea because it would make the audience think that our main artist was with all these boys, although really she is in the car with the one boy we saw at the start. The miming also went really well, we did the same bit of the song from at least 5 different angles which will make the audience really interested at the randomness of the video.
