Evaluation

In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
- Many conventions used in pop music videos are based around the artist. Most actors/actress' used in the video are very good looking to intice the audience, they also typically include miming, lip syncing which is used to narrate the plot or story going on within the video. They do this in many ways which include dancing, acting, singing and also the use of different shots such as long, medium and close ups to keep the audience interested and wanting to watch the video again to catch anything they may have missed watching it first time around. Pop videos also use a variety of shots to sell the artist, for example, close up's are to sell the artist's face however, the long shots are more used to sell the style and uniqueness of the main artist. Furthermore, the use of establishing shots such as pans, crane shos and the use of dollys give good effects as the audience can understand where and what is happening within the video and also keeps the story flowing from one shot to another. The story also links in with the meaning of the song and lyrics and most of the shots are edited to the beat or rhythm of the music.
There are many ways in which our media product uses these conventions of real media products. For example most of the conventions used relied mostly on the genre of the song. An example of this is the story line, which is very typical of pop genre music videos e.g boy meets girl. Our video is heavily focused on our main artist, who we chose as a very pretty and photogenic girl. We found when analysing music videos that as much as they tried to sell the song, the video was more focused on the artist promoting her looks and dances. This is shown in our video, so much so that our main artist is the only girl featured in the whole video. We focused in on this fact and used extreme close ups of her eyes and lips in the first verse of our song to show the anxiousness in her face and also used close ups when miming 'we love them' as part of the song. Videos are used to visualise the song's meaning (how much she loves boys) and this is clear in our video when 12 different boys are used throughout and she is the only girl. We also followed conventions by having a good looking love interest. This is very like real media products as the extras used in the video are always targeted at the audience and in our case, because we are the age our target audience are, we knew the type/style of boy and girl we were looking for. The other form of real media products used is the lip syncing. This is used throughout most music videos, whatever genre it is. This is again, to promote the artist to show she can sing and therefore relate to our target audience. This is closely linked to the 'Just Dance' video by Lady Gaga, as she does a lot of lip syncing as well as posing and dancing, which is just what we wanted in our video. We made this happen by having our main artist mime the first chorus of the song to let the audience know that she is not just the main feature in the video but also the singer. We also used extreme close up of the miming when she says 'Boys like you love me forever' this is so the words go directly to the audience, make them feel involved in the video and also make them remember that point in the video to remind them whenever they heard the song. There are also many obvious lyric references throughout the video for example, when the chorus sings 'boys in bars' there are shots of drinks appearing, same to be said for 'love it when you call me legs' our main artist is seen doing the splits. We didn't however, use miming throughout the whole song as we thought the audience would get bored of watching her sing the entire song. This is where the conventions of the storyline and narrative came in. From the beginging of the video it is very clear what has/is going to happen. The girl has woken up in bed with a boy and is seen trying to quickly get dressed and leave without waking him up. The second verse, the girl is seen getting into another boy's car and walking into her house. This could be very suprising to the viewers and give a different opinion on what they thought she was like at first. Towards the end of the song, she is seen on her laptop and getting ready for a possible night out, however, for the last chorus and end, the girl is seen with the boy she initally woke up with and although many other boys were featured in the video, he is the only one she wants to be with. Throughout the video, the audience understand what is happeneing and is not just a 'dance' genre music video where there is only dance and no story line. Furthermore, our video follows conventions of editing in the way that a lot of our editing it to the beat, a clear example of this is when the artist is lying in bed and on the word 'pop' her eyes open sharply as if to say 'what have I just done?'. It is also clear when she is posing and trying on outfits, each outfit changes on the beat as well as the poses. When trying on the outfits we decided we wanted out artist to have a stylish yet unique dress sense and this is shown throughout the video. For example, the first dress she is seen wearing is a party dress that most girls would be willing to wear, this is accompanied by some sexy heels and a clutch bag. All girls could relate to this as they would more than likely have a pair of shoes similar or even a similar dress. For the second verse she is seen on her laptop wearing a leotard which is very 'in' for this time, it is quite a new fashion statement and we wanted to do this as girls could take fashion tips from our artist. In the last verse and chorus, our artist is seen wearing a bodycon skirt with a crop top and waistcoat. Although this is a bit daring for anyone just to wear out, our audience can relate to this as most would have a skirt or waistcoat similar. This fits in with many pop music conventions because artist's such as Lady Gaga wear some extreme outfits yet her target audience pick out some of the fashion items and start a new trend.
Moreover, to follow conventions of editing and camera shots we used many different camera angles. This is apparent when at 0.58 our artist is seen just coming out of the house and leaning against the door and within the next 2 seconds there are 4 different shots of her lifting herself and start walking. There is a close up of her face, then a medium one from across the road, then another close up of her legs and finally a long shot of her walking. Furthermore, these shots are also evident when at 1.19 the girl is seen getting into another boys car. This simple movement of opening a door and stepping in, we used 7 different angles. Just a few for example, there is a close up of her hand reaching and opening the door, a point of view shot from the boys view, a medium shot from the opposite window looking in, another medium shot of her point of view then a long, pan shot of them driving off. This variety of shots keeps the audience interested and also lets the views know what is going on. For example, a crane shot at the begining of the video, lets the audience be aware of where the video is taking place. This is also used towards the end of the video when a pan shot sees the boy buy a drink and the camera follows him taking it over to her.
However, our plot is the only form that challenges real media products. For example, our main artist wakes up in bed, next to a naked boy, wearing his shirt. To some people, this could be classed as 'raunchy' or 'rude' however, this is style/story we wanted to create as it would attract our target audience and give the music video publicity, which would therefore sell the album. However, some of the younger audience may not relate to this as well as the older audience however this is a risk the production company would have to take. This could also link how we developed ideas from real media products such as many Lady Gaga's music video's as she is known to have unique and 'weird' style which is protrayed through her music and videos which gets her a lot of publicity. Moreover, the other convention that our video challenges is the fact it doesn't have any back up dancers or choreography. We chose not to have this as we wanted the focus to be kept on our main artist and although we do have some performance aspects, we kept to posing and close up miming to edit to the beat to make it short and snappy and to look like dance moves.

How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
- To combine with our main music video, we produced a CD cover(front, insert and back) as well as a magazine advert promoting the launch of the CD. This all came together with great effectiveness as we kept them same theme for all three products running the same. For example, we chose to keep the same font on both the CD cover and the magazine advert. This is so the target audience can relate one to another without getting confused. We also did this so that maybe that font could become the artists 'unique' font and could be recognized as their font. Also our choice of picture really made an effective combination with our CD cover. We wanted our CD cover to be very simple therefore for the very front of the cover we just had a close up of her face, no body or props, just her face. Again, this is to sell the artist not the song. Moreover, for our insert we have a medium shot of what she is wearing in the music video. This helps the audience realise that the two are connected together. Also we kept the back of the cover very simple just with a black background with the white contrasting writing. Again, this is in keeping with the simple theme and won't confuse our target audience. This is the case for our magazine advert as well. For example, we tried to keep the simple theme running with just a picture of the main artist, again, not trying to sell the song or album just the artist. We found this was the case with many pop artist albums and adverts. There was a very main focus on just the artist. We did however, add a small picture of the CD cover in the bottom right hand corner, just to let the audience know what to look out for when buying the album. We also linked our music video in with the advert by writing the song title at the bottom of the advert as well. We decided not to put the release date on as we though there would be too much text and wanted to keep the advert simple. All together, I think our combination of all three products work very effectively.

What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
- To get our target audience feedback we showed our video to them and asked them what their thoughts were and what they did and didn't like. We found that the good qualities most of our target audience mentioned was the quick editing. They liked the variety of shots and said that it really kept it interesting and was really in keeping with the song and story. They also liked the simple shots and the bit that kept cropping up was the dropping of the shirt seen in the first verse. They said it gave a really good effect and if they were to make a video wouldn't of thought to do that themselves. We also learned from the feedback that the audience liked the fact how much of the focus was on the main girl and in contrast how many different boys were involved. Furthermore, when we asked them to look at our album cover and magazine advert the most common compliment was the used of the simplistic theme. They liked the fact it didn't have too much information on and made it easy to read. They liked the use of the crown on top of the 'j' and said it was really creative. However, some of the boys said that the font was a bit too girly for them and would of liked to see a plainer font. With regards to the video, the favourite aspects seemed to be the choice of actors, the storyline and the quick editing. However, it was mentioned that they would of liked to see a dance routine within the posing, although this was only mentioned by 2 people out of 20 and therefore we will know what to improve on next time we make a music video. Overall we are very happy with our audience feedback and have learnt that the only other aspect our audience would like to see is a bit more dancing however we know this now for next time.

How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
- There are many ways in which I used media technologies in every aspect in creating my music video, CD cover and magazine advert. For example, to begin with, the most used media technology was the internet. The internet provided me with this blog that I used to record all of my research and planning on. However, I couldn't of done my research and planning without the use of YouTube where I got all the music videos from to analyise and get conventions and ideas from. However, sometimes it wasn't as easy to get the videos on to the blog as I had to search for embedded codes which had sometimes been removed. Apart from that though, the internet really helped me within my planning and research. Another way the internet helped my research was by the use of Google. When trying to find album cover it was really simple to find and save onto the Mac we were using. However, to put them onto my blog I had to upload them to a website called Photobucket, which then gave me the HTML code to copy into the post box which then converted into a picture on my blog. I also did the same for my storyboards as we used a scanner to transfer them onti the computer and therefore do the same, upload them to Photobucket and get the HTML code. Moreover, with regards to the construction of all 3 media products I used many media technologies to help me for example I used a video camera to capture all the footage to edit, I then used Adobe PremierPro to edit the footage to product a final video. Furthermore, to capture the still photos for the CD cover and magazine advert I used another media technologies in the form of a digital camera. Also, I used media technologies within the actual music video in the sense that there was a phone used, also a laptop and there is also a shot of Facebook which was used to relate to my target audience. All of this could not of been possible without the use of this blog to store all my information which is the greatest media technology used.

Final Magazine Advert

Here is our final advert promoting the new album...
Photobucket
We have decided to keep the advert very simple in keeping with the album cover. We have used a different style of picture compared to the album cover, this gives the audience variation to look at. We changed the photo into black and white as we thought it would make the picture of the album stand out more, which is does. We decided to put a picture of the album cover on the advert so the audience know what to look out for and it also promotes the artist as well as the album. We have also written at the bottom, 'Includes hit single, Boys Boys Boys, which then lets the audience know what type of songs are going to be on the album. In the main photo, the girl is looking down, this can connotate that she has power which relates to our theme of royalty. She also has a lot of jewlery on and wearing black which again connotates power. We decided not to put the artist's name or album release date as we thought there would be too much on one page, we just wanted the main focus to be the artist and her name is already on the album cover which is also featured on there.

Final Album Cover

This is our final version of our album cover...
Photobucket
Me and my partner have designed this album cover as part of our digi-pack. A digi-pack contains an CD/DVD cover as well as a magazine advert promoting the new album. We have also made the whole cover, including the front, insert and back content. We did this as we thought it would look more professional rather than just a front cover. When analysing other CD covers, especially Lady GaGa's we found that they were very simple. We decided to use this idea for our own front over.

Photobucket
Here is the very front cover. We have used a close up of the main artist and written the name in a sexy yet simple font at the bottom of the album just as Lady GaGa has done. The simplicity of this album cover is going to really attract the target audience. Furthermore, with the title of the album we have used a simple title but also unique enough to attract our audience. 'Her Majesty' represents royalty and power and we have also changed the dot on the 'i' to a crown to emphasise the meaning of royalty. We have only used a plain background and a close up of the artist because we wanted to just sell the artist, not the song.

Photobucket
Here is the insert of the cover. We decided to use a different style of picture to make variation. Here the artist is more reflective as she is in the video, for example, biting pearls. It is also more colourful compared to the front and back cover. To also make it look more realistic and professional we have made up some quotes by people and music TV channel's that our target audience could relate to. We have also exchanged stars to crowns to keep the royal theme running throughout. We have also kept the font the same to keep within the sexy theme.

Photobucket
This is the back of the CD cover. We have decided to keep the background plain to keep with the simplistic tone. We have also used to same font, again to keep it minimal with no fuss. The plain black and white background makes the front cover stand out even more. Again we have changed the dot on the 'i' to a crown to keep the continuity of the regal theme. At the bottom of the cover we have used a barcode as well as a record label logo. This is to make it look more realistic which also fits in with the copyright and all rights reserved text.

Reshooting

After putting on all our footage on to the computer, we edited most of the verses and one chorus. However, we found we had way too much footage for the first verse and the song wasn't long enough for it all to fit in. It would also make the video go out of sync with the song. Therefore we decided it was best to reshoot some footage, for example, we didn't have enough of our main artist miming the song and after analysing Lady GaGa's videos, we decided it was something essential we needed to do to make our video look more professional. We also found we didn't have enough footage to go in the chorus' and we didn't want to re-use our old footage as we thought our audience would get bored. We took one day after school and wrote a list of what we needed. We went to the pub to film some footage of the boy buying the girl 'drinks in bars'. Also we decided we needed more footage of the couple together, laughing and joking around in the car. We did this outside the pub in the car park and shot it from inside and outside of the car. Moreover, the chorus repeats itself about 10 times towards the end and this is where we were a bit stuck for ideas, however, one day at school we saw that there was at least 10 boys in our common room, so we decided to shoot each one, just against a plain background and to put it in every time the chorus said 'Boys'. We thought this would be a really good idea because it would make the audience think that our main artist was with all these boys, although really she is in the car with the one boy we saw at the start. The miming also went really well, we did the same bit of the song from at least 5 different angles which will make the audience really interested at the randomness of the video.

Show Editing Process

After shooting the footage we needed to edit it, therefore we used a software programme called Adobe PremierPro.
Photobucket
When the programme first opened up this is what we were faced with. The right hand side is where we watch the footage and the finished film, the left hand side is to see the different shots selected. At the bottom is where the song and footage gets cut.
Photobucket
We had our camera attached to the computer and we then imported our footage and the software the put it in the left hand side and it looked like this...
Photobucket
This was good because if we ever needed to re-use footage it would always be there. We also renamed a few clips such as the bar scene. We then had to import our music track. This was easy to do as the track was already on the computer we just dragged it onto the audio section of the editing process.
Photobucket
Once we had our footage and music on, it was time to cut the footage to the music. To do this we had to use different tools. The tool we used most was the selection tool which is the cursor. The magnifine glass is to zoom in which we used a few times.
Photobucket
As you can see there are many tools but the one used most to actually cut the footage was the razor.
Photobucket
To use this tool, we had to move the red line with the blue arrow cursor along to the footage we wanted cut, we then just clicked on the line and it immediatly cut the footage for us. This was quite hard however when we wanted very short shots, like this...
Photobucket
Therefore we had to use this tool to zoom into the footage. It was really convienient to have a tool like this as we have many small shots.
Photobucket
The footage then turned out like this, which made it a lot easier for us to cut at the right points and helped us keep it in time with the music as well.
Photobucket
Furthermore, when we wanted to add effect such as changing the speed or reversing some footage we clicked on the shot, as well as holding the ctrl button down it, then came up with this which let us either increase or decrease the speed of the shot as well as reversing.

Our Main Characters

After analysing various pop music videos, we found that with most of them the main characters were good looking girls with a sexy love interest. This is mainly because young girls will aspire to look and act like them but also boys will be attracted to them. This is also the case with the main boy/love interest because boys will want to look like them while girls will fancy them as well.
For our main singer we chose Louisa Giardina. She is a very pretty girl with previous modelling experience therefore we knew that she wouldn't be shy in front of the camera and is very photogenic.
For our main boy character/ love interest we have chosen Eugene McIntyre. He is a very good looking boy who we knew would take the acting serious. We have also chosen these two people as they are quite good friends and therefore we hope their friendship and chemistry will come through on camera.

Filming Schedule

When thinking about filming, my partner and I decided it would be best to try and get most of the scenes and filming done in one day and therefore when looking back at the footage we would know what other scenes we need to reshoot and if there was any other scenes we need to add. We had a stroke of luck when there was an inset day where our main characters also had the day off. Therefore we decided to get up early and use the day to our full advantage. We thought it would be best to shoot the fottage in the sequence it would be put in the video.
Tuesday 3rd November
10:30 - bedroom scene. This is when the girl wakes up next to the boy from the night before and is all a bit shocked about where she is. We shoot the same bit a couple of times but from different angles, for example, close up, medium and establishing shot. This is so the audience is interested and wants to keep watching so they find out what she is going to do next. We then filmed our actress getting out of bed and putting on her tights and dress that she had worn the night before. To add some humor, all her clothes, shoes and bag were thrown around the floor so she had to step over obstacles to get to her clothes. She then sneaks out without waking up the boy.
12:00 - road scene. This is when the girl has just sneaked out of the house. She leans her head against the door as a sign of relief that she is out. Again, we wanted to do this is show some humor but to also tell the story. When she is walking down the road she then stops because her phone is ringing. Again, we shoot this scene from many different angles just to make it more interesting. Also we thought about editing we wanted to flick back to shots of the boy who has woke up to find her gone, therefore we filmed him calling her to put in it simultaneously to show the audience it is happening at the same time.
1:00 - boy in car scene. This happens just after she answers her phone and tells the boy in the bed she has left his house. This is when the shot flicks back to the boy looking at his phone and calling her. After she puts the phone down, a boy in a car pulls up beside her and offers her a lift. She smiles and accept and they drive away. This will be filmed from different angles from example inside the car so the audience get a point of view shot.
2:30 - getting ready scene. This is where the girl has got home and she is on Facebook with boys popping up asking her if she wants to go out that night. We have used media intertextuality to relate the to audience. Also it gives the story a twist as the audience don't know who the boy in bed is or who she is going to go out with that night. It then makes the audience question who are all these other boys. It then turns to her in front of the mirror getting dressed, trying to decide what dress to wear and applying make up. There will also be a bit of miming here as we want the audience to know that our main actress is the main singer.
4:00 - break time!
5:00 - dressed bedroom scene. This is when the girl is dressed in the outfit she has chosen and she is dancing round her room. This is a sort of showcase of the artist, where as most of the video has been focused on plot, this scene is more about promoting the artist. She poses on the bed, sings/mimes and dances. These shots will all be put together to make it look quick and interesting.
6:00 - finished for the day!

Audience Feedback

I have put a few questions on my blog to find out what my target audience think of my ideas and whether they appeal. When I put a poll out to find out what genre of music my target audience like, i got a few results, however, pop/chart hits came out on top which then backed up my own view on what genre I should choose. Also when trying to find out who my target audience thought is the most popular female artist at this time, I put a poll on my blog with whom I thought were the most popular female artists. It came out that Pixie Lott and Lady GaGa were the two most popular artists, again backing my view that Lady GaGa would be the best artist to base my music video upon.

Detailed Storyboard

Here is a reviewed version of my first storyboard which is now more clear and detailed...

Photobucket
This will be the first establishing shot of the boy and girl lying in bed together. The boy is lying on his front while the girl is on her back. She begins to wake up.
Photobucket
Birds eye view shot of girl sitting up while boy is still alseep on his front.
Photobucket
Close up of girl biting her lip and looking around. Also looks back to the sleeping boy.
Photobucket
She is then out of the house and there is a long shot of her leaning against the door and then walking down the road.
Photobucket
She then comes closer to the camera and we see she is in the clothes she wore the night before and carrying her shoes and bag.
Photobucket
She stops because she phone is ringing. Close up of her fumbling around to get the phone and then close up of her on the phone to boy.
Photobucket
It then switches to a media shot of the boy woken up in bed to find she is gone. He rings her but she puts the phone down on him.
Photobucket
After she has put the phone down on him, a long shot of another boy in a car pulls up beside her and close up of her getting into the car.
Photobucket
There is then a long shot of her walking back into her own house.
Photobucket
Next is a medium shot of the girl on her laptop.
Photobucket
Then there is a close up on the girl talking to different boys on Facebook.
Photobucket
A boy then asks her "lets go see the killers" which go with the lyrics of the song.
Photobucket
Next scene is over the shoulder shot of her getting ready and applying make up in the mirror.
Photobucket
Medium shot of girl trying to decide what dress to wear. Audience is unknown about where she is getting dressed for.
Photobucket
There is then a break in the music and she poses to the different 'Oh's' in the song. Different variety of shots.
Photobucket
She then reclines in a char to one of the 'Oh's'. Medium shot.
Photobucket
Next is close up's of her miming 'Boys, Boys, Boys.' The chorus after the last verse.
Photobucket
Boy and girl from beginging are now seen medium and close up shots in the car. 'Boys in cars'
Photobucket
He then buys her a drink in the pub and carries it to the table/ 'Buy us drinks in bars'
Photobucket
Medium shot of girl playing and flicking hair infront of the boy. 'Hairspray and denim'
Photobucket
The next 6 choruses 'Boys boys boys' flashing close up of different boys.
Photobucket
The rest of 'boys in cars' are shots of the boy and girl messing around in the car. Medium and close up.
Photobucket
The rest of 'drinks in bars' are shots of different drinks appearing along the bar in time with the beat.
Photobucket
Girl playing with her hair and flicking it for the rest of 'hairspray and denim'
Photobucket
Second from last 'boys, boys, boys' are shots of first boy we saw at the beginging standing against his car from all different angles.
Photobucket
Final 'boys, boys' boys' is the girl and boy getting closer and eventually kissing. Quite a long/medium shot.
Photobucket
And the final shot is a close up of the girl laughing to herself.

Initial Idea for Own Music Video

When my partner and I were given the task of finding a song to do a music video to, we were faced with many problems! For one, we had to decided on a genre, artist and possible setting and prop ideas. After brainstorming a few genres such as hip-hop, house, pop and rock, we decided to choose the pop/chart hits genre. Then we had to decide on a band/ artist of the pop genre and after coming up with a few artsist such as Beyonce, Rhianna, Lady GaGa and The Saturdays, we decided to go with Lady GaGa as she is a popular, unique female artist who is bringing out new songs at this point in time. When we thought about what song we could do the video to, we decided on a song that was not out with a music video therefore it would be easier for us to come up with our own ideas instead of being swayed by the original music video. When it came to thinking of setting and location, we thought that just simple places, such as a bedroom and roads would be most effective as well as convienient. This idea has come from other Lady GaGa videos, as well as the different shots we thought about. We wanted quick, short, snappy shots to keep the audience interested as well as keeping the story line flowing. We also wanted our main 'singer' to mime quite a bit as this is what Lady GaGa does in her videos.
In terms of storyline, we have thought to have the main singer waking up in bed next to a boy, of whom the audience do not yet know. Next we will see her looking hastily around as if she can't remember how she got there. The audience will then see her walking out of his house and then the twist is that another boy picks him up in his car. We will then use media intertextualities such a Facebook and texting to appeal to the audience. We will use this when boys are asking hyer the lyrics such as 'Lets go see The Killers.' This will then go in time with the music. Next will be the scene where she is choosing outfits and applying make up and the audience are still left in suspense about who she is going to meet. After this scene will be the showcase in the bedroom where there will be many shots of the main singer posing, miming and dancing. This is very 'Lady GaGa' esque'. Finally there will be shot of many different boys to show the audience all the different options she has. The twist at the end is that the main singer eventually ends up with the very first boy we see. She is flirting with him in the car and in the pub and this will bring some happiness and shock to our audience.

Defining my target audience

When defining my target audience, there were many things I had to consider. First was the genre of music I was going to base my video on. There were a few choices such as hip-hop, R'n'B, rock and pop. Each of these genres would have a different target audience. I chose the genre pop as I feel as though it would widen my target audience range as the ages can go from 4 - 94! Moreover, I had to also consider the artist and song I was going to chose as this could also affect my target audience. For example, if I chose a boyband, then my video would be more aimed at young girls, however, if I chose a solo female artists, young girls could relate to the artist but also teenage boys would be interested. It is for these reasons why I have decided to choose a popular female artist. When considering the plot, characters and editing aspects of the video, I also had to keep my target audience in mind. With the plot I decided I needed to keep it interesting to keep the audience intrigued, therefore I wanted a clear story in the video. With the characters, I wanted a good looking girl for my main 'singer' to keep the boys interested, as well at the main boy in the video. Furthermore, my target audience will also fall into the categories of geographical and economical status. For example, this video will be very aimed at UK, Western Europe and Australia as they are all very similar. Also the USA as it is a very music orientated country and would love a pop music video to relate to. Moreover, with the social economic groups, I feel our video would be aimed at all social status from group A who are considered to be the lawyers and mangers of society all the way down through B,C,D who are the teachers, nurses, service, builders(white and blue collared), laborers, and finally E, the unemployed and of course students!

Initial Storyboard

Here is just a brief idea of what the plot for our music video could be...
Photobucket
This would be the first establishing shot of our main actress in bed with a boy. The boy is asleep and the girl has just woken up. We could shoot it from birds eye view, long shot and close up.
This would let the audience understand the setting and overall the theme of the video.
